There's a "crest" to all fields. From ground level, you can barely see the other sidelines. From the lower levels, I have trouble seeing if the play gains two or maybe three. From up high, I can usually tell before the anouncement even. If a db falls, I see it much clearer and quicker than from down low. Mid way up on lower levels is ok. Or higher. I can tell much better if a pass is open as the play develops. My son and I often go to pointing to an open receiver as the play is in progress. Often we see where someone was open and the qb just didn't see him. From the lowers, I am zoned in on the one player thrown to and don't see what the Tigers just might come back to soon. If I see it, I "KNOW" the coaches in the pressbox see it. Many times, I have seen "pancake" blocks that I would not have seen. It just seems like I see more of the total play where I would have only seen the runner. I can remember many times, seeing a good play that everyone was all excited about, but from the upper view, I see the flag "way across the field" and I know it's coming back quicker...JUST ME -- I GUESS:)

i agree with you from that perspective. but i like being in the "thick of it," so to speak. i can watch re-runs to analyze the plays. :)
