Consider the team you were there to watch...

I'd love to do that, but I'm buying them as a birthday gift for my Grandfather (Oct. 23) and he was there for the famous Billy Cannon run back in the day. I want to give them to him on his birthday.

    Good point.

Mainly I was irritated because I have aisle seats for the LSU games and I had to walk up and down past someone else in my LSU seats every time I had to go to the concession stands or bathroom.:po:

likewise. the "worst" spot i ever sat in TS was about two rows from the top against the citadel a few years back. i'll NEVER again, unless it's a HUGE game and that's all that is available. it just sucks. granted, this was with the old west upper. it's probably better now. but it was steep and narrow and you could BARELY make out the players on the field. it was pointless really.

Just know that the upper decks are not connected to the bowl. So if you will be going down to look for a bowl seat you will have to go all the way down and then go into the bowl to check it out. And of course you will need to know when the game marshalls/ticket takers leave their stations during the game.

I LOVE IT THERE. I have swapped 50 yd line, ten rows up from the track, for uppers. You see the whole play develope, what linebackers are on a blitz, does he get picked up, who missed a block, who is loafing around, how far the play got (faster) EVERYTHING.....If you are just looking for volume and cheerleaders, by all means, stay in the bowl. When I'm in the lower deck, I spend a lot of time watching the big screen. Might as well stay home and watch my big screen. Up there, I usually only watch the big screen for replays. My sons love it too.:insane::huh::thumb:

to each his own. however, it's just TOO far away. maybe the first couple of rows of the uppers. MAYBE. i'd rather be somewhere in the lower bowl (except for maybe the endzones.) but you go to an LSU game for the experience. it just so happens that we're playing good ball again. lagniappe buddy, lagniappe.

Why? There is hardly a bad view in the lower bowl unless you are in the first 5 rows or something.

I've had my seats for 25 years and I've passed up numerous opportunities to "upgrade". Aisle seats on the shortest aisle in the stadium, high in the lower bowl for good visibility, but close enough to the field that I don't need binoculars unless I want a Golden Girls close-up. North endzone but not behind the goal posts, great proximity to Tiger Band. I'm actually looking right down the north goal line. I used to be on the 5 but they moved the field 5 yard south about 15 years ago.

100% agree with PodKATT, show up at the stadium on gameday and buy tickets from someone selling them outside Tiger Stadium. ESPECIALLY for non-conference games. This has always worked for me (even for conference games).

Since the tickets are a gift for your grandfather, try to find better seats and prices by clicking these links:

    LSU tickets on eBay
    Dandy Don's Ticket page
    LSUsports.net (LSU Ticket Marketplace).

    Good Luck.
