Will they load the box and sell out on the run and man-up our deep threat? Do they provide safety support for OBJ/Landry? My guess is they start off loading up for the run.
They think their corners can lock down Beckham and Landry. They think they can stop the run without stacking the box. They think they can get to Mettenberger with the pass rush. They think we are Toledo.
I think Cam will let the Gator defense set the tone for offense. If they come in with a stop the passing game mindset then we probably run the ball.
I think you will see every kind of blitz imaginable. Muschamp is no fool, his gameplan will be to make it as uncomfortable for Mettenberger as possible and their corners will try to be physical, this may work on OBJ but get physical with Landry and you will be his bitch.
Landry's Bitch should be an award we give out each week to the opposing DB who got manhandled trying to stop Landry from doing his thing.
I don't know. Florida has a very stout defense that humiliated us last year, holding us without a TD. No one has posted big points on them for a year and a half. They are #2 for a reason. Their corners are very good ones. I worry about turnovers because you know Mettenberger is going to be threading the needle. I worry that Landry isn't 100%. I worry that we haven't been throwing to tight ends and backs very much . . . or reserve receivers, for that matter. You are proud of this offensive line of ours whom I think is very talented but is consistently underperforming. This is their chance to show that they can dominate a good defensive line. They have to open more holes for our exceptional running backs. Their pass protection has been good but not dominating. This Florida defense is very good on the line, at backer, and in the backfield. If we can't play with these guys, then Bama and A&M will spank us. If this defense can step up . . . if they have another level . . . now is the time.
A lot depends on how the referees call the game. If they allow the defensive backs to manhandle the receivers, like they have done before this season, then it definitely benefits Florida who have lesser receivers than us but put the ball into more hands.
