I have to agree with LSU-4-Life ..... there is no way our offense scores on Bama playing like they are now. Bama won't cough the ball up 4 times like aTm did. It's pretty much going to come down to that "voodoo" thing. .. cause I'm not seeing anything on the field that gives any indication that LSU's offense even gets to the 50 yrd line against Bama. We'll probably have to bring in the backup punter because Wing's leg gets tired. Bama will move the ball .. they may not score a TD until late in the game ... it may be 21-0 ... 7 FG to our 13 consecutive 3-outs .... Mett is going to have to learn to have some fun out there. Losen up. Play the game. And for gods sake, when they have all 11 players stacked in the box, ... don't run it up the middle. That's just stupid.
How would expect Mett to "have fun" when our own fans are saying nothing short of a biblical act of God will secure a victory for us against Bama? I'll just say that I'm sure our TEAM (thank goodness) believes in itself more than its "fans" do.
Don't worry Stacey, I enjoy all these LSU fans saying we won't score and we suck and fire Miles and all that, just when everyone thinks LSU doesn't have a shot is when Les pulls one off.
I was going to try to make a few valid points on substantiating my view of the outcome, but they've all been made. Numerous times.
Exactly. We know where you stand; no need to ram it down our throats anymore. You've done it now on multiple threads. We get it dude, Bama is a good team, and you're a Bama fan, and you think your team is going to win. We're LSU fans here, and we have a good team, and we think LSU will win. We can argue about the teams' strengths and weaknesses from now til the cows come home. Most LSU fans recognize the fact that we have some issues on offense. Let's just see what shakes out on 11/3. That's why they play the games...
Man in glad I'm not a only happy when I'm miserable LSU fan. If all you people who think we don't stand a chance have tickets I'll take em.
I'm looking at the offensive stats for LSU and Alabama and both have very similar stats. First at QB, Mett has thrown for 1,419 yards, McCarron for 1,476 (Alabama team total is 1,541). Mett's stats are even better than two QB's we've already faced, Driskell and Shaw. I know you can't judge things on stats alone, but I was surprised at how similar these numbers shake out. Rushing stats are also close. LSU with 1,667 yards, Alabama with 1,536. Alabama is averaging about 10 points more scoring-wise, and I think we can all agree that they've played some pretty less than stellar defenses this year. Defensively, we know without looking at stats that both teams are quite strong. I think we're going to see another epic defensive battle on 11/3.
