Nobody cares about OSU. His record at LSu blows Gundy's away.

Miles turned that program around and Gundy has built on the foundation. It is much akin to what Saban did with the foundation established by DiNardo, and what Miles did with what was left by Saban.

Just for kicks......not that I want to replace miles.....just wish he would get a good o-cord. The next best thing in a head coach i think out there is Dan Mullens......this guy is good he is doing very very well with no talent, has succedeed everywhere he has been, surround this guy with talent and he could be scary....he would just need a big time d-cord.

So what you are saying is he is winning. Just like I said.

Bottom line is it is all moot anyway because Gundy isn't leaving Okie Lite. He is an alum, and he said when they hired him that it was his Yankees job. Texas will make a hard run at him but I expect him to turn it down. If his success continues and they don't pony up on payday then that "may" change but I'd expect them to do what they need to keep him on board.

Without Miles, there ain't no Gundy at Okie St. Miles built that program, and was more successful there than Jimmy Johnson was.
How do you know how smart he is? Dude couldn't even beat Iowa fucking State last year, and that ultimately ruined our season. Secondly, how do you know that Chavis would want to work for Gundy? You're just assuming that he would, but that's far from guaranteed. Top-level coaches have big egos, and it takes the right type of personality at HC to attract & keep the best talent. Just makes me curious as to why wonder-boy Gundy can't seem to lure a semi-worthwhile DC at his current gig.

Hmm, yeah I guess it is an assumption. Just thinking if I were a coach and I had Chief at my disposal I wouldn't tell him to hit the bricks. I'd do what I could to keep him on board. Don't get too far ahead of yourself, this was all just speculation because wonder britches wanted a name so I threw one out there. Sure you all can come up with a milion reasons to say no but the bottom line it is one of the best case study situations you could hope to find. A guy coaching where your current coach used to and doing better than he did. See it for what it is.
