If you know OBS, you may be able to clear something up for me. I went to elementary school with a guy named Odell Beckham in Baton Rouge (Wild Wood Elem). He was a terrific athlete, and he would be about the right age to be OBJs father. Do you know if OBS lived in BR as a youngster? I have been wondering about this ever since OBJ got recruited. He looks to be a fine kid and player. I just hate to anoint anyone after one season.

Yes Josh Reed was the most productive college receiver I've ever seen period.

Nope, but I'll try and give him a call Monday.

I do know he finished up in Marshall, Tx. He, Phil Bennett and Y.A. Tittle all came from that area. Phil went to A&M. OBS signed in the 89 class at LSU.

Josh is coaching at Port Allen High School, across the river from Baton Rouge.........FYI

I saw him at the US Army Football game in Zachary, he was one of the Coaches.

I think ODB has the potential to be one of the best WR's in LSU history. But as this quote above states ... a lot of that is CLM's williness to cut loose on a pass game and let him shine. We know we have the gun to get it to him ... but you have to fire it.

I'm really looking forward to next season.

I am big on OBjr, but I am most excited to see what Jarvis Landry can do next season. He did not get many chances to catch the ball, but he looks to me to have the most upside of all the WR's after the catch. He has that Josh Reed mentality of gaining yards after the catch. Of course, he will need to catch a few next year to prove me right, but I think the duo of OBjr and Landry is going to wreak havoc.

Just got off the phone with OBS, that was not him, most of his time was up in the Tx. area. OBJ was in BTR up until a young age. If you call OBS cell, you'll get a little LSU music before he picks up. Said OBJ is doing great and getting ready for next year. Great family.
