I had to DVR the game; I succeeded in avoiding the sports bars and my assclown friends who were texting me while I was away from the TV. When I watched Cope fumble an easy six--in Tuscaloosa--I got a nasty twist in my guts, because this year, this team cannot recover on the road in SEC-land, especially Tuscaloosa. While I saw moments of individual excellence in the Q1 play of Mett, the catches by Landry & Beckham & the punt return by Beckham, the bottom line was that we do not have the stuff this year--although--tantalizingly--tonight, neither did Bama (IMO), and we could have beaten them. Cope's flub in the end zone was a momentum killer that played out in the second half.
Been losing them since the ridiculous NCG. Nicks got his pick, Les just gets the leftovers now. And tonite was more proof to the fact. And further the recruiting classes have not been top 5 regularly as of late.
