I agree. If Jefferson takes a big step forward this Spring as I expect, he'll be starter & Shep will be a change of pace QB.

He should step ontio the field for the opening kickoff and not leave it until the final whistle has blown to signify the end of the game, save for the halftime break.

Like an F-16, put him out front, on the side, in the rear,
change "weapon" loads and let him attack from all points
    in the AOR.:geaux:

...anywhere on the offensive side with the ball in his hands. I can't wait to see how Crowton and the mad hatter use him

    see Percy Harvin.

Since Jefferson and Shepard are the same style of QB, Shep can't be used as a "change of pace" QB.

    Jefferson will be the QB.

Shep, look at my first statement.

Sheperd and Jefferson are not the same kind of QB. Shepard doesn't have nearly the arms that Jefferson does and Jefferson doesn't have nearly the legs that Shepard does. I don't care who the QB, Shepard is a change of pace because his pace is all his own.

I expect to see JJ run less and less as he learns the playbook and gains experience on his reads. In HS he usually only ran when a play broke down and was his last option with some designed runs mixed in.

IMO he is more comfortable in the pocket and now that we have Shep to run for him we can protect our QB with the best arm.
