Now that the ice has been broken and the dust has sorta settled....how much of the game will JJ play against Florida?
I think that very well depends on the play of Jarrett Lee. If Lee has a WVU like game, I dont see JJ getting too many snaps If Lee has a UK type game, you could very well see CLM throw in that change of pace to see if the running threat is a better fit to beat the UF defense.
I have been following this web site for a few years though this is my first time posting. I have read a lot of input here about Jarrett Lee's "poor" performance against Kentucky. Lee's stats would seem to support this fact given that he was 8-21, 169, 1-0. That said, anyone who watched the game knows that there were roughly 6-7 passes that were dropped. Let's say even five of those passes were caught....then we're talking about a 13-21 day with over two hundred yards and at least a touchdown....who knows maybe another one.
I think that's the expectation for most Tiger fans. The one (and only?) thing I'd have a problem with is if Lee gets off to a hot start and we see JJ early in the game, such as the 3rd series.
I definitely agree. Drops end drives and prevent offenses from getting in a rhythm. Lee played fairly well.
If Lee gets off to a hot start, I wouldn't expect Miles to bring in JJ, except for maybe a goal line stint like last week. Lee will get off to a hot start if Ware and Ford get off to a hot start. As I hear it, the running game was not up to par last week.
If I had to guess I would think jefferson would get 3 maybe 4 series...unless Lee is really struggling then it could be more, but I think 3 series is a good number.
Not that I'd boo, just that I'd 2nd guess Miles to myself quietly. Then, hope JJ plays well and once again prove the Hatter is its own entity.
The stats coupled with the throwing into double coverage at least three times.. It seemed that he did this later into the game and it could have been out of frustration because of the drops. He just didn't look like the same qb that played against WVU but so did the entire offense..
