How many teams did LSU play that went bowling this year ?? 8 Out of the 8 how many should have watched the Bowl games on TV . LSU is on my list at 1st place , the one reason I knew LSU would not win that game or thought they would not be on fire . Is when I came in here we were not upbeat about the lil metro bowl , it was not worthy of The Mighty Tigers from LSU . At the start of the game I told my wife "It ain't going to be pretty today . " There was less excitement in the bowl game than in the Auburn game , it was more like We own that team , well a few of the owned teams this season broke the contract . I hope they pay a little interest next season , 3 TDs each might make me feel a bit better . We know what our offense will be like , but we do not have a clue about the defense . Yes it could be better , but, there is that low down good for nothing but again . It could be chair grabbing beer drinkin cursing worse . It the next coach is from up north , or the west coast , or Southwest , we may see a few games where each team scores 40 + points a game , the team that has the ball last kicks a FG for the win .Like in the bowl game . Oh heck fire , it is exciting just thinking about that , " Hey darling bring me another cool one , better make that two cool ones . They just scored again ." Her reply will be "Honey, if you want a cool one .GET IT YOURSELF !"
Well, so many of our fans keep saying that it was "a meaningless bowl game" that I guess the players felt the same way, especially after they got the surprise news about Chavis bolting to the Aggies.
I really can't complain about the season, but I was pissed after the bowl game. My wife reminded me that I thought that the team would be somewhere between 4-8 and 6-6 especially after the Wisconsin game. They won 8 games but Miss State won 10. I never thought that I would see that happen
You actually think the fan base can determine how the team feels about playing a game? I feel pretty confident in saying miles offensive philosophy and poor choice of qbs is what is effecting the players' attitudes.
During the day I spoke to people at two banks I went into and an Automotive shop. They complained about the game being at 2 and on a workday. I told them that's what happens when you play in a shitty bowl. My sister, poor thing, flew up there and sat through it.
Actually 2 of the New Years Six games started before 1200. It is very apparent TV and not fans were the factor!
me and a buddy were gonna go but somehow never got our shit together. was gonna meet some others up there. im pretty glad we didnt go even though i had no expectations on the outcome. the others said it was pretty freaking cold. that game was reflective on so many levels of whats wrong it really cant sit well with anyone.
I like cold football games, I just don't like them when they are in the daytime and cold. 12 years ago today I was freezing my ass off in the Cotton Bowl at 10 am. And it was misery.
Two that nobody gave a shit about, really. Hell I went appliance shopping with the wife today but told her we'd be back for 4.
