We want 1 more in this class, and I say there's a 50% chance we get one. I don't know who it will be, but it won't be Shugarts & I doubt it will be McClain. It may end up being one of those suprises.

Im thinking Jones is our best shot at a OL. Hopefully somehow we can land Patchan eventhough its unlikely.

Why wouldn't we go after Trahan? Even with Prater and Baker and maybe McCray, here's who we have next year:

    Darry Beckwith
    Perry Riler
    Jacob Cutrera
    Ace Foyil
    Kelvin Sheppard

So those 5 guys and 3 true freshmen... I think getting a JUCO LB makes perfect sense

That's because you have no faith in 4 of those guys because you haven't seen much of them. The coaches see them in practice. Maybe there is nothing to worry about.

Or maybe they don't see a LB out there good enough to start over any of these guys.

I know Clemons has the size (210 lbs) and it has been often referenced on here that he will probably be moved to LB. But Francois was under 190 when we recruited him. Is he really a possibility at LB?

He played up on the line a lot at Safety in HS, similar to a LB, and he excelled doing it. He obviously has to beef up (for safety or LB), but that's part of the development of these young players.

I haven't heard any informed people say Francois to LB, but I thought it was a possibility when he was a recruit so I don't see why not.
