have prescriptions that have skyrocketed in price at the beginning of 2016? I'm guessing this is a result of the unaffordable care act.
Damn, how old are you? Anyway, my premium skyrocketed. I had to fight tooth and nail to to only have about a $4,500 increase rather than a $10,000 increase. good stuff.
39, I was lumping my wife's in with mine. I have 1 that went from 40 to 268, and my wife had one that went from 40 to 247. Then my other one went from 5 to 15. My wife's 4 others also tripled.
I'd really like to know the history of how we (Americans) got to the point that we can do virtually nothing medical-related without the insurance company being involved. The AHCA, and every other attempt before it to make healthcare more affordable, has centered around getting more people insured. I feel the best way to make healthcare cost less is to get the insurance companies out of our day-to-day health management. We all own cars; we all insure them. But we don't use our car insurance to pay for a flat tire or an oil change. Its for emergencies. Likewise, doctors should be able to set and charge a reasonable fee for me to walk in for a shot if I have flu symptoms or a stomach virus. Health insurance shouldn't be necessary until I have to visit the ER for a broken arm or catch something that requires extended or long-term care.
That's insane! I only take 2 meds. One costs $20 at Sam's Club and the other is $11. At Rite Aid they are $33 and $21. I don't have a Sam's card but you can fill prescriptions there without one. They are significantly cheaper than your regular chain drug stores and even cheaper than the Walmart pharmacy. Any way to buy the chemicals and make them yourself. Illicit underground chemists are missing a great opportunity. Just don't buy any from anybody who has a mullet or is named Bubba.
