Coaching didn't cause the fumbles or the roughing the kicker call. Those are the things that nearly cost us. I saw correctable problems, not coaching issues.
He checked down in the second half. Sorry I can't give you exactly when and to whom, but he did it. The guy in front of me was stunned, saying "He hit his check down...HE HIT HIS CHECK DOWN!!!".
I do not agree,Jefferson my have completed 71 percent but its easy to complete a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 10. look at the dump off passes he made. he was not aggressive at all. He was scared!
I loved the long TD, don't get me wrong. But if we want our defense rested and off the field more than on, we have to learn to grind it out and sustain drives. There is room for both. Will we go for that balance, though?
Lots of good points on both sides. The bottom line for me is that we don't have enough information to really know what we're dealing with. I saw improvement in a lot of areas, but that complacent attitude in the fourth quarter was frightening. IMO, Peterson should *never* be on the sidelines. Find another kick returner and let him get his rest. Shep should be a good candidate...might even be better, who knows?
