I think bama can be beat by this lsu offense using play action. We hurt au greatly with it. We have play action bombed every team so far. I would like to see lsu take more play action down field shots. I would say about 25 would be plenty. I think if lee is on the money and our receivers are catching the ball well, we can arse rape bama while they sell out on the run. When lee and his receivers are on target, we can throw the ball downfield as well as anyone. We can cripple bama when they try and blitz.I can see lee going 19 for 25 with 230 yards and 3tds. That would win us this game.

I guarantee you that LSU has not spent the entire fall practice going over and over the same plays we see in the games each week. However, I would bet that CLM has set a personal record for the least out-of-the-box plays in any season he has coached.

That said, we WILL see trick plays in the Alabama game, but no more than 3.

Ya know ... I'm sick and tired of hearing and pretending that LSU .. "can" beat Bama

I don't see anything special about this Bama team when compared to past Bama teams.

    - This Bama team has the exact same Defense as last year
    - McElroy was every bit the QB that McCarron is
    - Ingram/Richardson = Richardson/Lacey
    - Julio Jones > than any receiver they have this year

I think the the "thing" that is making this Bama team look so great is the competition they have played. They haven't played anybody, and that includes AR who almost got it handed to them by Ol Piss.

A lesser LSU team beat this team last year, and last years Bama team was arguably as good if not better than this years team.

This years LSU team has a weapon it didn't have last year ..

    ..... it's called an OFFENSE!!!

My ad nauseum calculations give LSU a slight advantage over Bama based on LSU and Bama's performances against what would be expected against their opponents. ... but I'm not so sure that my calculations are correct .. I think they are too conservative.

I'm not going to be suprised if LSU beats Bama .. I'm going to be suprised if they don't beat them by a significant margin. My numbers put the split at: .....

    Bama [17-24]
    LSU [24-31]

I orginally was thinking the score was going to be like 27-20 LSU ... I'm beginning to think ... feel so to speak, it's going to be more like 31-17.

This bama team has been beating up people. They have been hurting people. Their physical play has been their winning formula.
Lsu plays a similar physical game. If we match their physical play, we win. If you take away their one glaring strength, their physical running game, they have no offense.
If we use our tight ends and fullbacks to counter their linebackers we will be able to run the ball. Our stellar NFL quality fullbacks will have to play lights out. If we do that we will be able to run. If we run well, play action will win us this game.

No offense RW ... but this is what I'm talking about ... IF .. .IF we do this or IF we do that .... all these IF's ... are nothing more than an ASSumption that BAMA should win .... unless.

How bout this for a change ....

IF .. Bama can shut down our power run game ... they may win.
IF .. Bama can shut down our downfield attack ... they may win.
IF .. Bama can get to our QB, they may win.
IF .. Bama can run the ball on this LSU defense ... they may win
IF .. Bama can throw the ball without getting it intercepted ... they may win.
IF .. Bama can overcome the crappy F.P. they will get from our special teams ... they may win

... And IF ... Bama can do ALL of these things .. they "MAY" win .. but there's still no guarantee, as this LSU team has a way of putting points on the board that are not accounted for by the yards that we put up.

I dont think we do or need to do anything special or different.

    1) Show Up On Time
    2) Suit up, yellow pants, white shirts, yellow hats
    3) Play LSU football
    4) Get the win
    5) Watch the Alabama players cry
    6) Listen to CLM's crazy post game talk that none of us can understand
    7) Listen to Saban blame his entire team and call out specific players

Thats it. Its just another saturday, go in and do what we do

I think we'll see a trick or 2, but I wouldn't stop running the ball this game. I'm looking for at least 60% run. Who cares if their D is supposed to be #1. We're great at running the ball, so why would you go away from that?
