I am thinking Les/Stud/Krag has been keeping more than a few new Offensive formations or trick plays "under the Hat" since the beginning of the season.

What do you think will be a new formation or play that we have not seen this team run yet this year?

    I am hoping for:

    1) Ware in the Wildcat

    2) JJ in the slot OR lined up next to Jarrett for a direct snap or half-back pass

Really i see this as a straight up game much like we have seen except...much like last year exactly when satan "knows we are going to do X, miles will do Y, and the game will be over. Much like the TE reverse from last year.

    I think ...

The trick play will be ...... You will see LSU pound and pound and pound the ball, just like we've seen them do all year. They will rotate out
Ware, Hilliard, Ford and Blue all night long, keeping their backs fresh and fired up. THEN .... just when you see the ground game beginning to break open ... you will see the strike down field to RR or ODB.

Every other team Bama has faced this year, has abondoned the run and gone to the air ... and lost. The reason they lose is because their defenses can't hold Bama to few points, and the score gets such that they have to find ways to score fast.

I don't think LSU has that problem. I think Bama has some success stopping our run early ... BUT .. between our defense and field position deep in their own territory, they also have little success scoring. That will allow LSU to just keep on pounding. The big difference maker will be depth in the defensive front. LSU essentially has TWO equally effective defensive fronts. Bama will not be able to wear this Tiger Defense down. OTOH .. I'm not as familiar with Bama's depth in the front. IF they are relying on the same front seven to play most of the game, by the end of the third quarter, they are going to be hurting.

You can bank on it ... Jarett Lee noted that this year they've made things simple, and they focus on doing what they do ,,, to do it really good.

But .. this is not to say you won't see some craziness here and there. :D

I have seen a few things changing in the playbook. I see the usage, on a as need basis.

You will see a few things that have the other side saying, "Well, they never did this before!"

If they really want to freak Bama out with a trick play, they should trot Ego out at QB the 1st time they want to send #9 in.

I think we see at MOST one true trick play. When a trick play goes bad, everything can go wrong, and you can lose 15yds or worse, turn the ball over.

No, I think the real "deception" in this game will be our offense running multiple plays out of the same set. We have already done this a bit this year, but probably not with the frequency that we will against bama. Their defense is confusing to an opposing offense, but I think KragDrawa will return the favor nicely.

I still think we've only seen about 75% of the playbook this year (if that). We simply haven't needed to resort to pulling out all the stops. And if we don't NEED to against bama, we won't. But I do think we'll see a few wrinkles that could hurt bama badly. Maybe we'll send Shepard in, which will make bama think "screen to #10", but then we'll run the screen to #33. Things like that. . .not overly complicated, but effective as all get out.

I think that Les has held back this passing attack. I would like to see us throw the ball more than just 15 times or so. I think lee can cripple their arse with play action. Jj showed how he could do just that last week and then lee came in and did one better. That's what I would like to see. If we could jump up 14 on the gumps early and force them to have to throw the ball we will have them by the balls.
