Breaking out amigo on me?!? :thumb:

Out of those four games UT doesn't scare me in the least. With such a downturn of talent at Alabama we've still pulled 2 out of the last 3 from them. It'll be a good, close, and hard fought game likely decided by who makes the most mistakes. New OC, new QB, practically a complete overhaul on their offensive side of the ball (coaching wise) pulls the depth situation to a dead even mark.

Auburn, like UT, are dealing with a lot of changes as well. We'll know a whole lot more about them come October but you have to admit there are a lot of question marks surrounding that team.

Bring up the loss to ULM and State. OK. You know, on the same end, I could throw out the total domination of UT who gave you a run for your money in the SECCG. I could throw out the win versus Arkansas versus your loss. Point being, throwing losses out there in this discussion of the '08 season doesn't carry a lot of weight on either side of the discussion.

I do agree, emphatically, that LSU will be a handful when we meet. I don't see it as a guaranteed win for you guys.

If I were to guess I'd say the winner of the West will likely go into ATL with 2, maybe as many as 3 losses.

Last, but not least, I see the combination of Spiller and Davis mentioned here as a great RB duo. That, I don't discount. However, I look at the duo of Jones and McFadden as being a better dual threat. That said, there are too many questions right now left unanswered when it comes to a few of the positions we are dealing with right now. Those, I've mentioned already.

I agree with Terry on this one. I do not look at LSU's schedule and see this as a slam dunk win. There's too much emotion for this game to be a no brainer either way. I certainly like our chances however.

As you should. There are other games on your schedule next season which should cause more concern that our visit to BR. At Auburn looks like a win for LSU in my opinion, at Florida is an interesting match-up. Georgia visiting should be a great game as well. Personally, I wonder how good Arkansas is going to be when you guys visit them. Dick has had a great spring and their sophomore running back Smith isn't highly known, but he's going to be a great running back this upcoming season.

The LSU win last year in BDS came down to just a few plays. I thought it might swing in our favor when the illegal motion call went against you...but, saying that game all boiled down to the fumble late really isn't descriptive (or accurate) of the game in itself.

It certainly was an interesting game last year with 3TD's coming from your passing attack as well as 3 Int's.

What a load of crap. You are equating our victory over the Eastern Champs in the SECG(with an injured 2nd string qb) and a loss to Arkansas with(two first round rb's), to your losses to MSU and ULM??? Did you take your crazy pills today Terry? Your transitive logic is bunk. We didn't both play ULM Terry, but we did both play MSU, Ark and Tenn. The teams probably improved right? But your loss to MSU means nothing?? What about ULM? If you think anyone buys that, I have some land to sell you. And I'm sure plenty of guys here will line up to sell you some too.

How about you guys sucking out that victory in the Independence Bowl? I was there and you guys nearly blew it in the fourth quarter. That is where your team was, and ended up. Our team ended up beating the #1 team in the country, and fairly easily I might add.

I understand if you think you have a chance against us - fans gotta believe. But to say the only team you are worried about is Georgia is funny. Maybe you can say that with a straight face today, but you sure as heck won't come November. If you base your assumptions upon the sloppy game we played last year, it may be a rude awakening.

And this time the pressure is off of Miles, about beating Saban, going to Michigan, winning a SEC crown or a national crown. He answered all of those last season. Saban is going to have face the pressure if you guys drop another 4-5 games next year, and it's very likely. At the end of the day, you will still be fielding a team that could not get it done last year. Despite what you say, that will have a mental effect on those players as they go through this next season. Just as our players will have to fight complacency as a result of winning it all, your's will have to face doubts as a result of failure.

Re: How many loses next year for ND and Bama?

Let's take this in context, shall we? I said that comparing the losses of last year to how a team will do this year is faulty logic. I can't be persuaded otherwise. It's about like the position of a cornerback. Forget the last play. It's not the same team this upcoming season as last season. Sure, questions exist, but the mentality isn't the same.

A victory over Ohio State in a bowl game is supposed to be impressive? Like you, I witnessed the game as well...both of them. Again, it falls back to the question what does last year have to do with this year?

There we'll disagree. Everyone will be looking at Miles this year, specifically in this game along with a few others. He may have answered your questions, but he hasn't answered the question of the majority of college football fans.

Consider a loss at Tiger Stadium and then consider how that will be referenced around the college football landscape.
