THIS. Its the biggest reason some of the Miles haters feel like they do. Its not W/L's. He just doesnt come off like a sharp guy. He reminds me of an uncle who is a super nice guy, happy go lucky, everyone loves him but he's just a bit off. The on the field bumbling, his version of coach speak, his press conferences. It bothers people having someone perceived like that in charge of LSU football.
yeah but is tirk being secretive and sarcastic? :wave: i don't think miles cares if people think he is an idiot, he probably uses it to his advantage anyway. what if LSU goes out this season and runs the table and plays absolute smash-mouth football? what then? is miles still an idiot because his "bumbling" continues despite him having just put together one of the best seasons of LSU football ever? that likely won't happen, but it can because all of the pieces are there. we hired the guy to win some games. let's see what he does this season. we didn't hire him to instruct speech 101, although he might want to enroll in the class this sem anyhow...
i'm fully aware of tirk and his "-isms," but the guy should be a major league pitcher because he always tosses a curveball into the mix. :wave:
