Well, I knew some folks would get pizzy about the title - but I really just wanted to see where our august group fell on the "Miles is on the hotseat" argument. There's an interesting piece by Guilbeau covering this if you have the stomach. I personally would like to key Guilbeau's car, but his tripe did get me wondering who else thinks Miles might be fired if LSU doesn't challenge Bama for the West title this season. Looks like most folks (here) disagree with ole' sour grapes, Saban-licker.
I meant, we should be able to force a team to lose by -12 points. Like 70-(-)12. It's the only way. and yes, I'm laying it on pretty thick
But they will. Let's say they are favored by, the opponent, +12. Which means they start the game off -12 pts. If we beat them 70 - 0, by Vegas betting we will have won 70 - (-12). So there you have it. We forced them into negative points, by Vegas betting standards that is.
like i said, nothing personal, it just gets tiring to read. i haven't been on in a couple of days because it's been so dead, and so the first thing i see when i log in is..... for the record, i'm not sure how many wins or losses will get miles canned... i think it's just the overall picture of how the season looks at the end of it all, and if we progressed in key areas or not. if not, then i think that next season will be the litmus test. and at that point, i would think that if we are something like 2-10, 3-7 or anything less than 4-8 against the teams we are currently 0-6 against... well, someone is getting fired be it miles, crowton, both... who knows? that simply means that over the next two seasons (including this one) we need to get four wins against bama, florida and/or ole miss. masoli might make things interesting this season. that may be a tough feat for LSU to accomplish, but if LSU is 2-10 against those teams over a four-year span, i don't think that looks very promising and a new direction (whatever that means) is needed. we shouldn't lose to ole miss three seasons in a row.
