I agree with SabanFan...the jury is more out on Alleva than it is on Miles. We're not going to fire Miles this year, but any AD should always have the super secret search committee active. (especially the Alabama AD...Saban can leave at the drop of a hat...or an NCAA sanction !!)
We all knew about his Duke transgressions, I was wondering if he's made blunders while at LSU? A lot of people seem to think he hired a good basketball coach. Has he made off-base cyber-side chats regarding football?
See you don't have to be a Miles basher to answer the question. By answering the question, I mean giving a number.
im gonna go with one. one timeout after change of possession. or one clock-it!!! call with no time on the clock then deny it and blame on qb. either one of those will be enough. its not about wins anymore with me. i cant take slingblade in charge of operations. we need to at least graduate to barney fife level. whats this have to do with alleva? is this like blaming crowton to deflect again? weak. fear of success is failure. if miles bungles this year into bolivia it may be time to see if sabans spawn is of hiring age yet. nicholas if i recall.
throw in self serving and history of hiring cronies over qualified and i think you've got it covered.
This, and having added new coaches that are adjusting to Miles' systems will buy him at least this year. Also, he still has GC and Stud as scape goats for him to use in his defense. As many have stated I think that Miles may have wanted to replace at least 1 of them, if not both, but due to contracts and the economic situation down there his desires were rejected. He gets one more year as a pass, then if it isn't a successful year will replace either if not both of the 2. His seat will be very hot and the 2011-2012 season he will be fighting for his life. A bad season then and he is gone.
if miles loses ONE game, his ass needs to be canned! i mean, come on? really?:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: this close to football season and we want to start rehashing this all over again? lets just focus on some football and some optimism. not trying to bash you bandit, but how many times does this need to be discussed? edit - crap, looks like tirk already beat me to it.
At least 1000 more times thru the season until we go 14-0 with an SECC and an MNC under our belt, and we win every game by no less than 65 pts. I would add that we would also have to have ZERO penalties all season, no sacks, no INT's, and win the TO battle by at least 100.:hihi:
