He's running that program deep into the ground.

    Any ideas?

He needs to recruit better. The problem is in that area Roy Williams, Bruce Pearl, and Bob Huggins all are better recruiters.

The man can coach defense but I cant figure out why in the world they dont reverse the ball to get it to Patterson down low.

They should have fired him right after the VMI loss.

    Totally unacceptable.

I also want to add that I've seen all the major players in the SEC play a good 3-4 times and Kentucky is the best team in the SEC.

The entire SEC is out of the top 25 for the first time in it's history as far as the coaches poll is concerned.

Not sure how much umph that statement you made carries.

    Well actually I do. None.

Interesting topic. I live in Kentucky myself, and a lot of UK fans are transitioning over to football instead of basketball due to the football team having a brighter future.

Somewhat insane, due to the fact that before Brooks came to UK, the football team was a doormat. It's just funny to see that happening to them now.

I see the UK program coming back in a few years. There are some bright prospects within the state that Gillespie has signed (Dakotah Euton) and he's doing a decent job outside of the state.

Another ironic thing is that Tubby Smith struggled to recruit outside of KY.... yikes. Looks like Gillespie is following that path a bit.

I think if he continues with 2 more seasons of this mediocrity, he's done.

You can't fire a coach for failing to accomplish an instant turnaround. He needs 4 years minimum.
