It's lost revenue that makes me believe folks will try to get this played. Could be wrong, but you're talking some serious cash.
I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt to the people that are about to be hit by a Category 4 storm. I'm pretty sure lots of people in BR would feel the same way if it was Louisiana about to be hit with this kind of storm. Personally, when they stuck the Saints in Giants Stadium in 2005, I thought it was the biggest piece crap I've ever seen...
You're looking at it completely different. They had options to move it. They didn't WANT to move it. They wanted to play there. Then said, fuck it, we won't play it. The fact the saints didn't tuck their tails and played elsewhere shows the kind of strength that keeps morale up. Rolling over was UFs choice. But, I get your drift.
Starting to feel like the Gators chickened out. Will see. Florida AD, Foley said that Sankey will decide about the makeup date after this weekend. He said if Nov 19 was selected by the home office, they would agree.
Looks like we are coming full circle. Who knows? Per ESPN's Brett McMurphy, looks like LSU might have been the hold up: Quote: Florida offered to play LSU on Nov. 19 & cancel Presbyterian game, but LSU refused, source told @ESPN. LSU hosts South Alabama on Nov. 19
LSU will rightfully refuse to play Nov 19th. What's in if for LSU? Cancel a home game and lose that revenue, pay off South Alabama and end up playing Alabama @home followed by @Arkansas, @Florida and on a short week @ aTm on Thanksgiving.
