How have we fallen so short of "best class ever" that some here were touting? In the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't matter all that much, but I can't help but feel disappointed.
Not sure how you gonna feel disappointed when LSU ends up with: 1) The best receiver in the entire nation 2) The best safety in the entire nation 3) One of the three best cornerbacks in the entire nation 4) One of the three best running backs in the entire nation 5) One of the three best defensive tackles in the entire nation 6) One of the five best offensive tackles in the entire nation 7) Another defensive tackle who is overlooked and might be every bit as good as player listed in #5 8) A very underrated slot receiver/running back/percy harvin type who will electrify Saturday Nights in Baton Rouge 9) The best playmaker in the entire nation who also plays QB 10) Potentially the best fullback ever to step on campus at LSU (think Jerome Bettis) Not a lot to be disappointed about.
Nice rebuttle. Sometimes I think the over-optimism gets all of us a little too fired up leading to the sensation of somewhat of a letdown that lsu-i-like refers to, but the reality is this IS and WILL BE a GREAT class, and you summarize that nicely here!

It's rare to look from top to bottom and see such quality names/prospects. I look forward to seeing these guys add to LSUs mythical football history and have high expectations not just for the final recruiting ranking, but more importantly, these players contributions and production over time.
We got a Bentley. Now we're trying to get that rich mohogany woodgrain installed. We may have to settle for the factory woodgrain that comes with the vehicle. Capiche?
You're right, and I'm not truly disappointed with this class, I'm very excited. Just greedy for "best class ever", though once all is said and done, I'm more interested in translating great recruiting classes into great performances on the field. But thanks for laying this out so clearly guys. A lot to be excited about. :thumb:
Well we dropped to #3 in Scout, but the stars don't mean anything..I am very exited to see what our team will be next year and years to come..we have the legacy and if the players don't want to be at LSU then we don't want them at LSU.... :geaux::LSU231:
:geaux::geaux: we will likely finish at the top with all 3 major recruiting networks Rivals, ESPN and Scout We are behind UNC right now on Scout, but they have 9 more commitments and are only slightly ahead in points.. When we get Randle, Mingo, and Montgomery, and a couple of others, we hit the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as a fan I want to finish number one...the publicity LSU will get come Feb 5th will be a good thing :geaux:
