I know he's only been at the helm for two seasons, but nothing good has happened under his watch except for the highly touted recruiting class last year.

It's hard listening to these games where the kids make knuckle-headed plays in the crunch over and over and over again. The team has inconsistent pitching, inconsistent batting, and inconsistent fielding. They blow leads. They can't come back late in games to win.

Sorry to focus on the negative. But in my mind, PM's got one more year to turn it around. Otherwise, see ya. :tigerhead

His seat is as cool as the other side of the pillow.

    You have no clue.

The seat is not hot, but the team has shown little improvement over last season. This year's freshmen will need to show improvement next season. Last years contributors seem to have digressed.

1 full recruiting period and he only managed to get the # 1 class in America. Then to top it off, these dam true freshman ain't even playing like All-Americans. Then our un-ranked, rebuilding baseball team loses 2 games to the best team in the SEC (hands down).

We should just scrap the program all together.

The problem is expecting too much, too soon.

agree, including myself. he's made some bonehead moves, in my mind, but hes a competitor and he is pressing. he wants to win, now, and is pressuring the kids.

they are not having fun and thats the problem. hes almost the opposite of smoke and is overcoaching them.

but i believe his desire wins out in the end if given time.

the new stadium will hopefully change the losing mindset currently infiltrating this team.

I agree... I think he is overthinking the situations and second guessing himself. Confidence means a lot in baseball... for the coaches and the players.

The guy has a #1 recruiting class, we have a chance to win all 3 games against the best team in the SEC.

PM isn't even sitting in a "seat" yet, he is still up walking back and forth with a jacket and gloves on.

Holla at me in 3 years...then we will see if he is even in a "seat" yet, and we will discuss how hot it is. Peace.

Last year we weren't good and still managed to win a few ball games, this year we have the talent but we're hurting ourselves, we're just on the cusp. Take away those errors and we're leading the SEC, Next year,I feel we will be a contender in the SEC.

However, I understand the frustration with Mainieri. Some of his pitching decisions make me wonder and very frustrated.
