Personally I think top 5 with the talent and youth with expirence returning, but prolly a top ten ranking. LSU gets no love from the media anyway
I have us at 8-12. The AJC has LSU at 6. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/stories/2009/01/08/college_football_top_25.html 6. LSU (8-5): The Tigers’ demolition of Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Bowl puts their 2009 season in a different light. Rising sophomore Jordan Jefferson looks like LSU’s quarterback of the future but he will have a battle with incoming freshman Russell Shepard of Houston, who some say is the next Vince Young. The defense will be better because veteran DC John Chavis takes over.
Well, so far, the AP has LSU unranked in the final poll, while GT fell to #22. There is a possibility the voters could slight LSU and find them be stuck somewhere around #18 or #20. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex
Will be tough to go from unranked at the end of this season and pre season top ten next. I think we fall somewhere between 15-20.
It depends on how voters view this season. Our collective body of work this decade should give us some leeway. While I'd love to see top 10. I think, maybe, 11 or 12. That still would let us move up if we're good enough to do so.
Win them all and it won't matter. How can you deny an undefeated SEC Champ from playing for the title...unless your Auburn? :hihi:
