No sir. Where you went wrong was stating that Les Miles star has lost it's luster...and erroneously implying that this wouldn't have happenned under Saban. Just checked your membership start date, and by that, you should know better. As has been stated, Saban got blown out numerous times while at LSU...and not just his first couple of seasons. He was blown out by UGA in his final season, by the way. The "truth" as to where we stand as a team this year is this. -We will likely lose 2...maybe even 3 games. You will struggle to go back and find a preseason prediction thread that shows any of us thought otherwise going into this season...ANY of us. If YOU expected an undefeated season...in an even year no less...then YOU are the delusional one. Yet you act as though we're delusional because we still think we have a shot at a good season.
I don't care as much about the standings at this point; all I care is that the team plays GOOD football!
Penn State:huh: Penn State beat a terrible Purdue team, 20-6. Now ESPN will tell you that Penn State is on fire, but I would realistically venture to say that at least 4 SEC teams are way better than Penn State, including LSU. Penn State is the only glimmer of hope within the piss poor Big Ten this season. But ONLY a glimmer...
Fair enough. I just take these losses tough. I looked back at my realistic prediction and thought we would lose 2-3 games this year. I guess I just bought into the hype that was a #2 ranking just a couple of weeks ago. 9-3 will still be a tremendous year for rebuilding as long as we beat Saban in Tiger Stadium. I respect him as a coach but can't stand what he did to us.
