To add: a player can transfer down from D1 and then be drafted after the second year. Or if they turn 21 before they have been out of highschool for 3 years (not very common), then they can be drafted. The difference here is they don't declare for the draft. The MLB drafts kids, makes them an offer and if they don't like it, then they go/stay in school. It's a big difference between baseball & football/basketball
It is impossible to say until the class is finished. But once it is complete and the draft is over, I could tell you better. I would think that guys like Ochinko and Pontiff and other upperclassmen who do not start would be the most likely candidates.
What is the signing day for baseball recruiting. In other words, when do we know who will be in the LSU baseball freshman class for the 2009 season?
Already done. They're at the bottom of this link: http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=27865&SPID=2173&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=1478070
Ochinko was all sec freshman last year, he will probably be our first baseman next year if Clark leaves, which im pretty sure he is.
