Florida and Mississippi are not Louisiana. Since 2006, LSU has signed 92 of the 101 Louisiana prospects that were offered scholarships. That's the point of this thread. Louisiana is different. Scout.com: Who Recruits Louisiana?
Recruiting in the 21st century ISN'T what recruiting USED to be! EVERY team is "national". LSU has a boat-load of players from Texas and had to compete with Texas and aTm (and in a lot of cases, OU) to get them. ...and if that still doesn't get you a decent acceptance from them (specifically from someone FROM Alabama)...then just tell them that the reality is that Alabama sucks in terms of recruits anyways so they're "splitting" scrubs with Auburn anyways.
I think he meant it's possible to break the fence down if you have a little... 180K or so should do the trick.
"Yep, and 'Bama/Auburn also has to compete with Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida St. for in-state recruits. OTOH, LSU is regularly competing against Bama, Auburn, Florida, Florida St., Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and USC for in-state recruits."
You win arguments with Bama residents by asking them to think- those phuckers have trouble with that. Ask them if, using that logic, Florida deserves more credit since they have "three" in that state. And ask why Arkansas and Kentucky never win Nat'l titles in football if that is really such an advantage. If you really want to phuck with them say, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. They won't know what state Vandy is. :hihi:
Well you could tell them they have the advantage in that they own the referee's and they have an unfair advantage even though they dont have the best talent. Who needs coaching and players when a clear interception is reviewed and still not called an interception. Very hard to beat inferior teams when they own the refs.
You don't "win" a logical argument between rival football fans. Why try? Tell him: Bama gets the students from Alabama that concentrate in color by numbers. Auburn gets the students from Alabama that concentrate in connect the dots. LSU gets the students from Alabama who are literate.
Every team has built in advantages. Auburn has the ability to pay players and Alabama has 123 people on scholarship. It all evens out around game time.
Alabama recruits nationally. They sure as he'll aren't limited to their state and usually pick up a couple guys from outside the southeast And even though we get the lions share of the top kids in La, other SEC teams poach some good players here and there just like we do in Georgia, Tenn, Fl, and TX. It's a silly argument. All three of the teams mentioned are loaded with talent and have all recently won a NC. No room for any of them to argue about recruiting advantages or disadvantages.
