I know this is probably old news; happened to catch a bit of the sound bite from Jimmy Ott's show on 1210AM radio today about Russel Sheppard being extremely upset at the loss to Penn State to the extent of almost wanting to quite the team:nope: Anyone heard about this? If so, I sure hope Gonzales can help fix the problems and utilize him better. Don't want to see his carreer wasted at LSU.
Take Ott's info with a grain of salt. Shep is not in anyway questioning his coming to LSU or anything like that. He is happy here and recruits have confirmed this when he was their host. One of the recruits was saying that Shep ran the campus and saying that everybody would love a chance to come to LSU, etc... Players frustrated after a loss is not the best time to draw conclusions about a player. Shep would not be happy with people thinking he is a quitter either. Not in his blood...
If Shep was good with losing and riding the pine, he would not be who he has been made out to be. I'm pleased he's displeased. A guy like that with a mission is a powerful team leader.
