Lets just say for arguments sake that all their careers end today, right now. Forget all the off the field antics of a few of them and focus on actual field time. How do you rank the following: P. Manning, Brees, Rothlisburger, Brady, Favre ?

If you mean all time in their career it is one way, if you mean to build a team around today it maybe another. I will go with all time.

    Favre
    Brady
    Manning
    Breesus
    Rothlisburger

    I think I would go

    1. Manning
    2. Brady
    3. Brees
    4. Ben
    5. Favre

Really tough to do, Brady and Ben won multiple SB's because they had really good teams and defenses with them. I think any of them could have won on those teams.

    Manning
    Brady
    Brees
    Favre
Ben R. shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breathe as any of these guys, IMO.

Local sports talk pitched it this morning. Dude does have a couple SB's so I guess you could make a case for him. He is a dumbass but he does win and that is all that matters right?

My top list includes regular season, stats, body of work, and post season.

    1. Brady (come on, he's won 3 Super Bowls)
    2. Manning
    3. Favre
    4. Brees
    5. Roethlisberger

If I had to rank who I would want leading my team now:

    1. Brees
    2. Brady
    3. Manning
    4. Favre
    5. Roethlisberger

I'm not so much talking about his off the field issues. He has won a couple of SuperBowls, but I attribute those Super Bowls more to the Steelers Defense. I guess I don't see him as the same caliber of quarterback as the other guys that you mentioned. I don't think that he'll have too much of a legacy when he retires and I think that Manning, Brady, Brees and Favre will be demi-gods for eternity.

    JMHO.

I definately see your point, it was just the bunch that local yahoos threw out this morning so I figured I'd bring it to the board. Ben is still young and we'll see what he does with the remaining years. He did have good teams that didn't need a superstar QB to win the big show. Goes back to what if Barry Sanders played for the cowboys instead of emmit? Put Manning on those teams that Brady won with and he might still be winning superbowls.

Roethlisberger is on record as having the worst QB rating of all time for a winning Super Bowl QB (2005). Yes, worse than Dilweed.

He did drive them down for the winning score in 2008, so you have to credit him there.
