Id try to punch them in the mouth early. First play of the game, come out in the power I. Play action pass, sending OBJ and Shepard deep. After that Id say just keeping them off balance. The OL must block better though, we have to establish some sort of running game to open up the pass. Id like to see Jacobs in there more at TE.

Hopefully Miles has an epic pregame speech to light a fire under them.

I'd like to see two tight end sets with both of them, and Ware in the backfield. Any one of them can run a route or break off a block and get in the flat as a safety valve.

Thats a nice formation. I think the TEs in the flat could be a wrinkle that may work. I also like Ware as the feature back. I think he is the best all around back right now. He runs with fierce power, blocks well, and has good hands.

Can we get penetration in the Gamecock backfield?

This is a tough challenge this week. More play action on first down hitting the TEs and RBs on quick passes setting up 2nd and short. Some quick slants would also work if the WRs find some hands that work. QB really needs to sell the play action too. This also helps Mett and the O get in rhythm. 1St down passing keeps the defense off balance. 2nd or 3rd and short opens up the playbook and moves the chains.

    Great minds think alike!

All I can add is ... no fumbles, no dropped passes that hit the hands, and no sacks as if Mett is wearing blinders. ... and for gods sake, don't give the other team 80 yards worth of freebees in penalties.

Run the statue of liberty play, reverses, half back throws, screens, draws, hook and ladder.....put in the running QB for a couple of series......and hope like hell the defense scores some points.
