Any insights? He was in town supposedly for the Alabama game. He's rated the number 2 qb by some. He's from Jackson, Michigan, which is coincidently in the backyards of Michigan, Michigan State, and even ND. A real coup if Nick gets him for LSU. Supposedly Michigan is his favorite team and the one he's leaning to; he does have visits coming up for Michigan, Notre Dame and Michigan State and Virginia Tech.

I'd love to get him since he is such an athlete, but if people were frusturated with JR this year then Bass may be worse. He has completion % of 40 and 36 the past two years in high school.

Yeah, I heard he likes VA Tech because of the Vick connection. Supposedly, he wants to play QB in college and it may come down to the place that gives him the best shot at playing QB. But a real coup for Nick if he gets him. I suspect Bobby Williams is recruiting him. My guess being in Big Ten Country is that it comes down to Michigan, ND, and maybe MSU--depending on what position he's recruited at. He may go for Playing Time and the MSU and ND may offer him that quickly at another position. A chance to be so close to home with those three schools will be tough for Nick to overcome. It's like a kid who grew up in Lafayette with LSU as his favorite school deciding to go to Michigan instead of LSU.
