I thought Miss State's D played pretty well. They were still motivated and thought they had a chance to compete in the West. The loss to us doomed their season. Remember they came into the season with high expecations.

yeah, we were ultra conservative in that game

When we finally unleashed Lee in the 4th, he went 5-5 for over 60 yards on the drive that put the game away.

How did UL-Monroe beat Saban? That still baffles me.

UAB is not Sun Belt. SEC should NEVER lose to Sun Belt schools.

The same way Bama has been shut down for much of their first halves this season, only LSU really didn't get in sync for almost the entire MSU game in addition to the very conservative game plan. I think had we started off with a couple of cupcakes then Krags and Studs would have had more faith in JL and opened the offense up more. We have to remember that we opened the season with a new starting QB, a new starting RB, a brand new OC who only had a short time to prepare and the memory of the pitfalls we had under Crowton. The steady improvement has been wonderful to watch.

LSU played a bunch of players. Wing and Hairston both didn't play. LSU wanted to get out without any injuries. It's a long season, UWV was up next. Moo St. got two FG's, that was it. Nice game.

Uab I think is going to lose their football program. They just don't have the backing of the community and aren't competitive. As far as Ul-monroe it was Shula's coaching that needed excised from the Bama players. I remember thinking DJ Hall was good then he got into the nfl and didnt even make it on a team. Couldnt run routes correctly, didn't spend time learning the playbook. Totally lost.

A lot of Shula's players did go on to become great players under Saban and star in the Nfl now.I mean who would have thought John Parker Wilson would be playing(sign) with Atlanta???Go figure
