You know what's funny......yesterday watching the game, every time someone would make a key play I would catch myself saying " that guy will be back next year" .....this really really gets me excited about next year also. How many teams can be undefeated going in to the National Title game......and still say it looks like next year we may even be better than this year!!!!! Freaking Scary!!!!!

Just like in golf. A hole in one from 225 yards or a 3 inch putt is only 1 stroke. 40 points is 40 points.

All year we complain that other schools are racking up offense because they don't play anybody, but now 40 pts is 40pts. We put 40 on some good teams, I know. I'm just saying the logic is weak.

Frankly, I think that people are panicking a little too much about the JJ situation. Clearly, he had a bad game. I thought he was holding onto the ball for too long, and for that reason thought that Lee might have been more effective (dude chunks it quickly). But even when he did throw it, he was off the mark. It happens. Pitchers have games where they can't find the strike zone. Ray Allen has games when he can't hit his jumper. Just comes with the territory.

But it's not enough to convince me that JJ is "back to his old ways" because there is much more evidence from this season that indicates otherwise. I don't believe that he just suddenly forgot how to throw a football accurately. Furthermore, we've seen how far he's progressed under the tutelage of Kragthorpe. So I feel comfortable that whatever problem he's having will get identified and corrected prior to the NCG. Add to that, he seems to have had his best performances when he's had extra time to prepare for a game, so we've also got that working for us.

Whatever the case may be, it's undeniable that our run game is unstoppable with JJ taking snaps, and that is our bread & butter. In fact, I thought the OC's got away from that in the first half, and exacerbated JJ's struggles by tossing it around too much, particularly on 1st down. I don't think they let him get comfortable, and put too much pressure on him before he settled in. But regardless, we've now beaten TWO of the VERY BEST run defenses in the country with our dynamic run game led by JJ, and it looks like we're only getting better. Yes, the run game was great when Lee was playing, but it's been taken to the next level with the added dimension of JJ's dynamism. So frankly, I'm not going to be losing any sleep over JJ's paltry numbers from yesterday.

UNREAL, the sky is falling and we have had the best season ever by any team. IMHO the offense didn't show up the first half for whatever reason. Maybe they thought they just had to show up or looking ahead to the BCSCG? Anyway, no other way to describe the tale of two halves.

Your thread implies we have been averaging 30 yards passing per game for much of the season.

If Bama stacks the box like UGA in the 1st half and gives up 200+ on the ground the 2nd,

    IM COOL WITH THAT BRO!

    Fo schizzle!

Nicky is wetting his panties right now, as he reviews the tapes of our 'antics' and 'mass sleepwalking' in 1H.

NCG will be no walk in the park. The game will be prepped--like all 13 preceding it!
