    This has been around for awhile, guilty until proven innocent, burden of proof that those items aren't being used or were gained in or from illegal activities is on the suspect.

    Very true, back in the 80's a company near Morgan City got fined by the EPA because they had "the potential" to commit air and water quality violations.

    I'm pretty sure I've met Barry Washington and I definitely met the mayor of Tenaha and Constable Watley in 2006. They seemed like nice people. Fuck them.

    Let's say you go to the casino and you win 5000 dollars, if you take the cash option and get pulled over on the way home, if you don't have the documentation proving you won that money, the police can take it.

    St. Landry Parish and Calcasieu parish are notorious for seizing cars and money with no legitimate reason. The judges back them up because they get a piece of the action.
