Like many here, I'm taking the wait-and-see approach too.

No doubt Cam has the knowledge and the scheme and the Tigers have the talent. I've not been one to think that CLM was ever explicitly calling plays or overruling play calls during a game. But it's been pretty obvious he's had an influence on the whole tone of the offense.

The questions now will be whether he's willing to step back and let Cam coordinate (like he apparently does with Chief) and, if so, whether Cam will be able to fully install the offense he wants before the ball is teed up in Jerry World. I don't think (or maybe it's I hope we won't) we'll see the same old offense with ideas that we're keeping the real offense under wraps until Fla., Ga., Bama, etc etc.

    I hate the offseason.

We would have to think that after 6 years, we are due right?

Yep. I think , hope, our offense is gonna cAtch some teams by surprise this year. 38-27 LSU is on my calendar for November 9.

Lots of points for that rivalry, regardless of who you got. I thought Mett had his best game of the season against the Tide. The only thing he was missing in that game was a two minute offense. Expecting either team to push 40 points is hard to imagine.

He had a great game. Just no as efficient as it could've been. We've had an OL coach playing OC for last 2 years. He will be back coaching the line. This keeps Mett on his feet and he won't be as rushed. This equals more scoring opportunities in the air. Once the air game opens up the defense will have to spread out. Opens up middle for the run. Blue, Hilliard, JC, hopefully Hill, will pound the rock right up the middle. Our CBs and safety will have more experience than last season. Defense will rush AJ causing him to throw at least 2 interceptions, 1 of which will be taken home. Our offense was 87th in nation last year and still made the Bama defense look mediocre. Aggies put up 29 on them and 19 on us. This year we have the offensive and defensive coordinators in place. Les has confidence in both so I think he lets them do their thing. Geaux Tigers! 50 days till kickoff

I don't think a guy who has been very hands on and controlling with NFL offenses and has been an NFL and NCAA head coach is going to come here and let Miles dictate his gameplan to him.

I look forward to the prospect of using the backs and TEs in the passing game, something Cameron is known for.

I know, maybe its just me, but I saw a few things that I liked in the Spring game. I know they didn't show anything, but Cam wanted to see what they did know. I saw a few players step forward that can help this year.

Back to Cam, if you read his resume, study what he's done over the years. Talk with coaches he's worked with and against, you'll know the guy has what it takes to help this team. Its not only about QB's, its more of the entire offense. Like I tell people, we don't need a major overhaul, more of a fine tune. Look at the players lost after the 2011 season, then the ones lost during the season. Tell me another team that lost even close to that during the season. Players lost during the season...

Faulk starts the first game, then, out for the year.
Vadal Alexander is brought in the 5th game, a true freshman.
Williford starts the first 5 game, then out for the season.
RSF Trai Turner is forced into action after game 6. Finished the season as a starter.
P.J. missed a game and Porter had to start a game.
Hurst leaves the team after the 6th game.
Lucky for us a 6th year was awarded to Josh D.
Blue started for three games, then lost for the season.
Kwon Alexander started two games, then he too went down.
Loston missed a game, allowing Martin to get a start in.

Most teams would have packed in the season, this staff did one of the better jobs last year.

Miles has a history of overcoming the worst that the football gods can throw at us. He really is one of the most under-rated and underappreciated coaches in the game.

Couldn't agree more! Not sure reality is ZM being a first round pick......but I love the thought of it :)
