From what I have gathered on Cam, a few things come to light. We return a very good group along the OL this year. They should be able to handle run blocking and pass protection well this year. Having Studs back in his job is a plus, the kids work and relate with him as the OL coach. In the Fall when a few more of the newcomers arrive, Studs will have his hands full. This looks to be the deepest position on the offensive side of the ball, but as with last year, could change from game to game. Like I said, this staff did a great coaching job with the OL, from game to game, not knowing who at times was going to start.

Cam may use shifts and formation changes to confuse defenses. Everything he doe,s looks for a mismatch, he also wants the QB to know pre-snap what the defense is doing. Remember, hes spent time and worked with a number of great NFL offensive coaches. He has some of the Norv Turner philosophy, yet still having his own style. He likes the ball control offense, passing scheme built on short and intermediate routes, but will also the vertical passing game. He will attack aggressively, using TE's, F/H backs and RB's. Turner and Cam both use some forms of the Air Coryell offensive tree (Or "NFL Route Tree). Remember this stat, in the entire history of the NFL only a handful of running backs have had more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage in an entire season, Cam coached two of them (Ray Rice and LaDainian Tomlinson). His development of the QB's are known, he took a late round pick and help mold him into a Pro Bowler (Gus Frerotte). Add to the list Pro Bowlers Rivers and Brees. Cam is one of the winning-est coordinators in NFL history. He will use the Tigers speed and athleticism at skilled positions to keep the defenses off balance. With the Fullback (Copeland), look for them in the I-formation at times, but also using the play-action.

Two new guys to keep an eye on this year in Cams offense, John Diarse and DeSean Smith. If Jeryl Brazil is on that side of the ball, things look even better. I also say that the year Magee spent at WR can only help him. Blue back at full speed, another help.

    Sorry, a little long winded...
