I am very pleasantly surprised, shocked even, at how well the Hornets are playing, and how quickly this is happening following CBSs dismissal, and following the loss of CP3. If they can keep this up, wow! Once CP3 is back, they clearly have a talented rotation in the trio of CP3, Collison, and MThorton as PGs/SGs, Omeka in the middle (with only subpar-descent backup relief), and Peja shooting 3's from the SF slot. West is okay at PF, but we drop off after that. (I think I have that all correct; I am following them from the East Coast, so I may have the player positions mixed up a little bit there). The new coaching staff seems more adept at spelling players to keep them fresh, but all I can say is that I am still surprised/shocked that this is the same personnel with such better results.

Surprised and shocked may be understatements. CP3 goes down and the Hornets crank it up. Go figure. Maybe some of the Saints mojo is rubbing off on them.
