Is anyone else's employer making them telework? I work for a large government agency and pretty much all of our centers across the country are only allowing essential personnel onsite. Everyone else has to work from home. I was already doing that 2 days a week anyway, but on days I do go in, I have a 2-hour total commute, so I'm not minding this part at all. I actually get more done and put in more hours when I'm at home anyway, so hopefully they'll end up letting us do it permanently.
I have the same experience right now. I’m imagining that if this thing persists for a month or so, work is going to start to slow down for me, though, and I’m not sure what’s going to happen at that point. I find working remotely to be slower, though, because of technology.
Same here, just not 100%. I usually work from home on Mondays and Fridays. I would love it if it was permanent.
I do fed contract work in NOLA. My team was 100% onsite till that tornado hit MAF couple years back. Went to 100% remote after that. In last year or so 1-2 days onsite with temp buildings. Nothing new here and agree that I get way more work done at home. Onsite is the day I am working on other people's problems.
