    No...and why are you yelling?

Did you notice #34 rushing for 160 yds tonight? And Blue looking like a beast? If anything, I think Shep should continue at WR, with stints at QB in the Wild Tiger formation. But they gotta let him throw.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit...and I hope to God it's true. Last year, I saw Les Miles on the sideline with the plays in his hand in one game...the AU game. Far and away LSU's best offensive performance of the year. Nobody talks about that though. Am I the only one that saw that?

To be fair, I guess i see what you're getting at. Shep has well over 100 yds rushing in just a few attempts. But ya' gotta realize...he's doing that as a WR. It's effective because he's NOT lined up at TB. Shep probably averages about 6-7 yds/carry. Ridley avgd about 10 yds/carry tonight. Even without his long run, he had 100 yds on 15 carries.

The D was absolutely lights out and the biggest play of the night for vandy came through a blatant hold. Without that 51 yarder they have 14 total rushing yards.

We had a couple of long, sustained, drives and won the time of possession battle.

50% conversion on third downs while holding vandy to 2-13 (15%) and a few of those third downs were short yardage.

    Things to work on?

Jefferson needs to get the ball out quicker and actually throw it to his receiver and not the ground or behind the guy.

For the love of God stop running the option!

And the fumble bug bit us again, thankfully we recovered them all but we can't continue to put the ball on the turf.

Bhelm, your sources have always been impeccible. (Sp?) While everyone else goes on opinion I put a lot of stock in your posts when you say "your sources".

If this is true, then the o can turn tings around and get clicking. Because the fourth qtr was where it started working. we have to make in game adjustments like we did in the 4th qtr if we are gonna have any chance of an offense this season. if its not working, someone/anyone just make them.

:geaux: Add a lot of YOUNG players got to play to the positives. This is gonna pay dividends down the road while at the same time result in painful mistakes on occassion. (See 97 yd pass play last week). Overall it's a good thing. Eric Reid is gonna be an absolute beast! That hit he made on the Vandy WR late in the game jarred my teeth! Blue & Ware looked impressive as well, along with Tyrann Mathieu who played pretty well as I recall. I'm sure there were some others but those stood out to me.

Was also glad to see Ryan Baker out on the field. He's a beast at LB, IMO.

Also hope Ford gets more carries as the season goes on. There's got to be something going on behind the scenes with him. Otherwise there seems to be no reason why a kid who gained about 130 yds in the spring game only has 3 carries after the first two games of the season, none in the first game. Realize Ridley is doing well right now but Ford should be getting more carries unless he is in the doghouse, which CLM denies. :LSU231:

I seriously doubt that JJ will ever show any improvement. He just doesn't look like he has the right stuff to be an SEC quarterback. All I see when he drops back to pass, is very twitchy feet and inability to make quick reads and decisions. No self confidence whatsoever. I'm also sick of the pouty face he makes everytime he makes a bad play (which is quite often). He just doesn't have that determined, in control look to him.

The defense looked much better Saturday night. I can see them as being our savior this year.

#1. We have great depth at RB already, and I think Ridley getting 160 yards by himself makes a sound arguement that he's the top dog. Everyone else (was glad to see Ford get a couple of snaps) did well.

#2. RS is getting those rushing touchdowns because he's lining up at receiver and sweeping around. He's also doing a fair job of catching the ball. He is doing great where he is.

We need to junk the option. Jefferson cannot run it. Lee cannot run it. Junk it, except inside the red zone with Shepard at QB just to complicate things for opponent DC's.

Our front 7 looks extremely active and that is refreshing from last season.

    Peterson is a beast.

The remainder of the secondary is young and will have it's growing pains, unfortunately.

The offense is a complete joke based on our skill players.
