They have officially replaced the Saints as the laughing-stock of the NFL. How in the blue hell do you pass on Reggie Bush in the draft. Not only for a DE, but for anyone. That's something the Saints would have done in the past (i.e., that K with the weird name....Erchslakin). Islstl will know his name. The Texans organization is going no-where fast.
Detroit is giving them a run for their money in that catagory. I'd say Oakland but at least they made a move getting Aaron Brooks, too bad they are idiots!
Yeah, I don't know how you can argue against the Detroit Lions being the worst organization in all of sport. One name: Matt Millan. Single handedly detroying whatever chance Detroit had of rebounding back into some semblance of respect. Why is he not fired yet? Am I missing something here?
It's a shame, but the Texans are not looking like they are being run very well right now. However, the Saints weren't just being run poorly - there was no orginizational commitment to winning, IMO. I don't think that is the Texans problem and as such I think they'll get it turned around in a couple years. I'm not sure whether Benson changed his tune or just got lucky, but it sure is nice to not be included among lists of the worst run teams in the country!
You don't become the laughingstock of the league based on one draft pick. The entire rest of their draft was very un-Saints like. Being the laughingstock takes true commitment and dedication. Years of ineptitude. Sure, Casserly has laid the groundwork for them to be very bad for quite a long time, but they have to execute that strategy before even being mentioned in the same breath as the Saints back in the day or the modern day Lions.
Worst organizations in the NFL: 1) Oakland Raiders 2) Detroit Lions 3) Houston Texans 4) Washington Redskins I think the gap between #2 and #3 is fairly significant however. But then the gap between #3 and the #4 spot is just as significant. Three pretty bad organizations. At least Houston got rid of their problem (Casserly). The Lions still haven't (Millan). The Raiders are owned by theirs (Davis). This just in: The Detroit Lions, with their first pick in the 2007 draft, pick a wide receiver.
And get him back in the TV booth where he belongs. He was by far the best TV color guy when he was hired. I still think he would be the best, alongside Chris Collinsworth.
