since we dont have a football team, we should have a debate series here, pick 2 people, pick a topic and go.
We killed a lot of civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki but it ended the war and saved the lives of an estimated 500,000 Allied forces and probably an equal number of Japanese. In war there is going to be collateral damage. But if the leaders of ISIS are mostly in Raqqa and we bomb them at a time when we know they are in the city ISIS is no more. In the long run more lives saved than sacrificed.
Just now the state department issued a travel alert for all Americans. Nonsense. It's not like there is a nuclear war, it's only a few hundred killed on a planet of billions. I am gonna go to Europe again In a few weeks and sort this mess out
Terror alert levels and state department warning are always nonsense. You can go anywhere on earth besides raqqa or maybe the worst neighborhood in Yemen and wear large American flag and people will hi five you and buy you shots
Absolutely they would. Violent anti American sentiment only exists among a tiny minority and even then only the tiniest minority apply that dislike to actual people. It's like if you were drinking tonight and you met a friendly Syrian. Would t you be nice to them?
Yes, but my question was more about being able to buy a shot of Patron in Iran than about Americans around the world.
