Anyone see the Citrus last night and how horrible the field was? How can you not keep good turf in Orlando where you rarely see cold weather? Looks like field conditions will favor PSU.

I wasn't real impressed with the stadium and surrounding area last time we played there. I love Orlando but wish it was a better stadium, field, etc.

really hope they fix the field...a field like that is very dangerous and causes serious injuries.

OBT has never been the better part of Orlando, but it has gone down even farther in the years since I lived there.

How do you fix it in 2 days? How does a field in such a warm weather climate get is such poor shape? I hope the LSU staff is looking the field over and making sure everyone has the proper foot gear to get traction. A field like this really has the potential to take away any speed advantage LSU might have.

Why do they play 2 bowl games on one field a few days apart (well, besides money)? Artificial turf could handle it but not regular grass. That field was in poor shape, loose sod everywhere. Footing will be a problem.

There are a lot of other stadiums out there that could use a bowl game. Take one of these away from Orlando.

No reason why a field in Orlando shouldn't be able to handle two games so close together. Grass grows year round down there. The yard service companies never stop cutting. Pi$$ poor upkeep is the only reason a grass field in Orlando could be in such bad shape. Shame on the Citrus Bowl, maybe they should be moved to a lower tier bowl status.:(

Can that Disney arena be converted to a football stadium? I think the Braves play some spring games there. Or they can move one over to Tampa. The Bucs rarely use it post season.

That Citrus Bowl stadium is very old and doesn't hold really large crowds.

That is my bigger complaint. You have had almost a month to be able to get your field in the best shape possible, you have 2 games back to back on National TV, yet the field looked like it had been played on everyday for a month. Unacceptable.:dis:

And I don't even think they have a regular team playing on that field. Only bowl games and a once a year Disney classic college game.

I guess they've had the monsoons we've been having. Field must not drain well.

Ever think that's exactly what their going for here? Maybe their trying to give the game to PSU... and the best way to help them is takie away our speed.
