+2000 I dont get that myself, I mean both have questions about their passion for the game. So whats the plus here for New Orleans.
the whole point of dumping chandler has been salary excuses. why the hell would they take on salary for a freaking marginally better player. i dont get it. if the reason is superficial to keep CP3 happy to pretend you're competing, just keep freaking chandler. this is a bad move based on payroll now and in the future. also, its like depending on Oden.
I agree, but I got curious, so I did some number crunching. In 5 years with the Bulls, TC averaged 7.05 ppg. He improved to 10.03 ppg in 3 seasons with the Hornets. Hardly a huge jump in production, but.... in 5 seasons in Chicago, TC was a 51.4 percent shooter from the field. In 3 seasons with the Hornets, his FG %, jumped to 60.5. Those are the only figures I bothered to put to the calculator, but his assists or turnovers did not appear to change significantly. His worst season as an offense rebounder in NO (last year when he averaged 3.5 per game), was better than his best year in Chi. So it appears he became a much more efficient offensive player in NO, if not necessarily a more productive one. The big change is in field goal percentage, and I'm sure that's a result of all the alley-oops he gets from CP3.
the whole reason i didn't like chandler b/c his contract along with peja's is crippling. i'm not sure when peja's expires but i'm not too sure about this move.
the flip is that Omeka was a #1 draft choice, is 7', and about to enter the prime of his career. i always envisioned him as the next Olajuwon. if he blossoms, this will be a great get, but who knows, only time will tell. agree with the salary crippling concerns.
The next who? Not even close Okafor is the next Kwame Brown or Marcus Camby. And for those who dont realize something I'll say it just to start shyt.. The Dream>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Shaq
^^ Don't watch the Cats much if you think Okafor is in any way like the dream. Okafor has NONE of the moves the dream had. That comparison is just based on them both having African sounding names, I guess?
never said he has the moves of the dream, just said that i always envisioned him becoming the next olajuwon when he left college. once again, not saying he is, just trying to be positive about the trade, and hoping the guy blossoms now that he has a few nba seasons under his belt. since i brought up olajuwon, does anyone know how good he was his first 5 years in the nba? i don't, just curious.
Dream came into the NBA a 20 and 10 guy. Could probably get 20 and 10 still for a game or two. That guy was amazing.
