I agree with that Battier is the key to both of those trades. But what would be the line up with Battier and Artest on the team.

    Artest as 6th man, probably.

    Scorer who can also d-it-up.

and when we'd play a running team like New Orleans and co., Artest would play the 4.

    6th man wow.

Has he ever come off the bench in his career.

I just think they'd start Battier over him to keep the 5 together that's won 9 in a row.

He would play 32-35 mins a game.

    He would be the Ginoboli.

    Thats good logic.
But you are talking about some one I cant stand now, is Ginoboli, I hate his style of play.

I think the Rockets lineup might look like:

    C Ming
    PF Artest
SF Landry (if Battier is traded)
    G McGrady
    PG Alston

I can't see Hayes starting over Artest by season's end.

Landry is a PF, despite his lack of height. But Scola will be the PF. He is a double-double machine.

The move that sparked our run is putting him in the starting lineup. (he is 9-0 since being a starter).

So if Battier is traded, that would be the lineup, flipping Artest to 3 and moving Scola to the 4.

Landry will be the Paul Millsaps/hustler off the bench.

Landry looks like a very exciting player and someone to look out for in the coming years.

I guess the Rockets will now be able to get over the hump and win a playoff series. ;)

Im not sure why the Hornets would do this knowing the Rockets are interested in Artest. But I learned years ago just to not question any moves that come out of that city.

The Rockets should have one hell of a defense if this works out, and they are pretty good already.

I see you have been following my Jazz some. He is an animal in the paint. He doesn't score all that much but he does the dirty work better than any young player in the league. A typical prototype player of a Jazz team.
