I don't think most folks think he is dumb. It's not quite that bad. I think people think he's a good coach, but not a great coach, or they think he's "not cerebral" like a Bill Walsh type of coach. Even if they think what I think they think, they may underestimate him, because he's not "gifted" behind a mike. He's grown on me, and I like to hear him speak about LSU! football. He has a passion for his team that I really like. They don't have to think he's stupid in order to underestimate him. I think folks are still trying to figure out how he beat Tressel and a good OSU team. They underestimate him.
If Miles doesn't take the gambles he did would the Tigers have won the National Championship? Probably not. But then it's easy to bet when you are holding a very good hand.
Re: Texas talking smack After reading your comments on the Texas forum, I have concluded that you are a first class moron. Please do us all a favor and stay off that forum. You're making us all look bad.
No, most of the people that I talk to here in Knoxville think he's not too bright, just lucky. They are however, starting to change their opinion some.:thumb:
Little slow on the uptake are we...think that was a few days ago. Listen this is not life or death like my business it is a little down time here and there and usually just playing around. My final comment to Texas people was that it was my opinion that LSU is the hottest team of the decade period. I played around with them a little bit because it is hilarious getting a rise out of people who really get into this stuff. But the problem is that one is dealing with people who live on the internet and do this all day and night and many of these people are lacking in social skills. People who post hundreds and thousands of times, well that speaks for itself....But, if I need help putting my shoes on I will let you know. Maybe you could help me run the ICU tomorrow night?? I don't need you to tell me what to do, especially someone who posts hundreds to thousands of times on here. Get a life or perhaps get a real job. Now, thinking about it, you should actually try to get real friends instead of internet buddies....
I happen to like my job. I make pretty good money, do very little/no physical labor, boss has given me tickets to Bowl games, big screen TV at the office when gamees are played during business hours, a canal in the back of the building with a gator for me to catch, price of oil and gas goes up, my job security and salary go up.
I feel ya brother. I hate losing money and I always try to never bet with my heart (hence why I NEVER bet LSU games) but I had a feeling UT would pull this one off but laid off of it anyway. Man I can't wait for CFB season. My gambling jones is just out of control right now.
