I would like to remind all that even though things are very tough right now for many families around this great country of ours; take the time to reflect on the positives, pray for your friends, family and fellow Americans, and be thankful for the blessings the Lord has granted upon you. With the holiday season upon us many families may find it hard to handle the stress. For those please pray that they find strength in their faith in the Lord that he will guide them. Happy Thanksgiving all, and may God Bless.
Happy Thanksgiving! I thought I would share a resolution I made this year, perhaps it may help another... I resolved not to worry about things that are out of my control. It sounds simple, but it may be harder than you think. Some examples: I cannot control if the Tigers win, but I can control my attitude after a game, and be thankful for our awesome decade, (I no longer let a loss ruin my week). I cannot control the value of my house going down, but I can control my attitude of appreciation at having a nice home, and still being able to make the payment. I cannot control the market crash, but I can control what percentage of my retirement account I put at risk, and I am thankful I have a retirement account. I hope everyone will truly give thanks this holiday! Geaux Tigers! AND THANKS!
This is my first Thanksgiving in Plano in many years, as my parents decided to give us a break from travel this year and came to visit us. The food is steadily cooking, and we're looking forward to a great holiday dinner. But the best thing is to be in the company of family. That is what life is all about. If everyone in our family is safe and healthy, what more can we want? Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
