I think this is what just about all us believe. I haven't really seen or heard anyone predicting greatness this year.
I fixed it for ya Clair. :thumb: Weak just isn't the word to describe it. Big East Big Ten Big 12 PAC 10 ACC Conf USA All of those are well ahead of the SEC. Losses by SEC teams Vandy-- Ill. Chicago Kentucky-- Virginia Military UGA-- Loyola Chicago, Western Kentucky, TAMU C.C. MSU-- Charlotte LSU-- TAMU USC-- Charleston Tenn-- Temple Arky-- Missouri State OM-- New Mexico, Utah Auburn-- Mercer, Dayton, Northern Iowa, Bama-- Mercer, Oregon, TAMU Those are bad...The parity is good but bad because everyone sucks. From what I see, the SEC title definately comes out of the East. IMO Tennessee or Vandy takes it. Is September here yet??? :dis::dis::dis:
I don't think anyone's lauding CTJ for bringing LSU back from down against Mcneese to pull out a close home victory. :dis: We played much, much better against Cal State. If we can consistently play that way, we'll be fine. If not, we won't.
Brady would have been crucified for allowing all of those open 3 pointers. I watched some of the Nicholls (I think) game. Around the key, with no one moving, and chunk it inside . Looked a lot like Brady's offense to me.
I'm hoping it was hangover from the eATMe game. Surely McNeese isn't better than Northwestern ot Cal State - F. I guess we find out this weekend. I'm trying to duck work early to make the game. Left for the McNeese game and realized once I got to College Dr I'd left my tickets at home. Traffic was a nightmare so I made it back home to catch the game right before halftime.
Brady's problem was he had big men to score in the paint but no perimeter shooters, so teams could double/triple-team a Glen Davis and not worry about open looks. This year's team has the opposite problem: no one to consistently pound the ball in the paint and grab offensive boards, and a lot of outside shooters. But I'd start saving the Brady/Johnson comparisons until LSU gets to another Final Four, returns several starters and completely falls apart the next year. :rolleye33:
