Jerrall Martin and Jordan Mickey playing in the Kentucky Derby Classic http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/03/madison_prep_forward_and_lsu_s.html Tim Quarterman named Ga 3A player of the year http://www.thecoastalsource.com/con...ayers-of-the-Year/4gwCEhAxKk6vtbzRVoTFWQ.cspx
https://twitter.com/PaulBiancardi "Paul Biancardi @PaulBiancardi 4h We have 1 more change coming April/May“@nickta0: @PaulBiancardi is there really 52 players better than Jordan Mickey This guy is a monster." I watched Prime Prep in the Prep school tournament and Mickey is a beast! His team is ranked #4 in the nation and they played the #9 team. Mickey posted 28pts, 8rbs, 8blks and 3asst. The best stat, 11-11 from the free throw line. Prime Prep was down 2 in OT, Mickey went to the line with a little under 30 seconds left and tied the game. The opposing teams coach pulled a Chris Webber and Mickey went to the line with about 12 on the clock and put his team up by 2...Prime Prep one by 2! This is the second Prime Prep game I've watched and I don't know how Mickey is not listed as a 5 star...Mickey has the strength, speed and athleticism to guard the collage 2,3 and 4. He has a nice mid range game and is very crafty around the basket. Very solid post game. Good passing skills. I think his three point shot is a little slow, it seems as if it takes him awhile to set up before he shoots but if left open he can hit it. The guy plays 100% the whole game and is not afraid to do the little things. Between JOB, Martin, Mickey and Oda our frontcourt will be in good hands. If you watched sportscenter last night and saw the top ten plays #3 was Martin catching a nice inbound ally oop in the McDonalds All American game. It was an all star game so you really couldn't break down his game but you could see he has a nice mid range game and crazy athleticism. I think he was 4/7 shooting and ended up with 10pts and 3rbs. The future is bright!
A few Jerrell Martin interview's... " I’m not going to lie I was telling everybody that I could and everyone that would listen to watch out for the Tigers starting next season. We are going to make some noise so the rest of the college basket ball world better be ready quickly." http://www.bayoubengalsinsider.com/...-free/5693-martin-puts-lsu-on-nartional-stage "Martin isn't ranked highly enough in the five-star range." http://247sports.com/Article/Jarell-Martin-and-other-impressions-from-the-McDonalds-Game-124942
damn, that's exciting to read. it's been so long since the days of the deaf dome, the freak defense and daddy dale. it's been a long time since I was as excited about lsu basketball as I am every year about lsu football. lsu baseball currently ranked #2 and off to the best start in school history....WOW! what a great freaking time to be an lsu fan...
There is a rumor that is picking up steam…Brian Bridgewater will be added to the 2013 class (I have no link take it with a grain of salt). The 2013 roster is at it’s limit for scholarships and right now there is no mention of anyone transferring. He could walk on but I cant see him doing that…He holds offers from a few mid majors…He’s supposed to announce on the 17th…We shall see
