Amen, brother! This is what I'm talking about. I like it. I like it. The kid's got skills, a nice shot, decent fluidity and handles. A big guard with some upside and smarts, but versatile enough to play 3, 2 or 1. The perfect guy to go along with a scorer and what is hopefully a big or two.

AND, with folks still crying over spilled milk with Gathers, let's remember....

HOW MANY COLLEGE OFFERS DID JEREMY LIN HAVE!!!??? :D (as he wins 6 straight in the N B A).

LINSANITY SHOWS that you don't need to be a Rivals top 100 kid to BALL.

Mr. Hammink Jr. ... be a Tiger! :geauxtige

Geert Hammink. Haven't heard that name in a long time. Does Shaq have a son?

Shaq has two sons: Shareef (12) and Shaquir (almost 9)

this is what Shaq said to Shareef when he was 10: "I show him Blake Griffin and I say, 'Shareef, this is the dude you should watch and pattern your game after.' Because my son, when he's older, I think he's going to have the same body type -- 6-10, muscular, freakish athletically."

That article is from 2009. Shareef should be pushing 13 now. This is about the age Dale Brown approach Shaq and asked what college he was attending. Brown could recruit.

From what I got from several people in Laplace who are close to Gathers, is that his relationship with Tweety Carter is a major driving force to go to Baylor. Tweety Carter and Gathers have played together for several years before Tweety went to Baylor.

Remember, Gathers started for Reserve Christian as an eight grader. That team pretty much landed into Riverside's lap. When the school got shut down, Timmy Byrd took the job at Riverside and the rest is history.

I can't imagine Gathers switching his commitment again, and therefore he should be attending Baylor in the future.

For the life of me I don't know why Players wants to cut down coaches. I guess they think nobody will hold them to their word?
