Basketball Guru's, what is the scoop on BJ Young the 5* PG who committed to Arkansas?

Were we a contender before he committed or any visits?

Word is he is going to look around after the Pelfry firing.

I'm not sure LSU was ever on him. I know LSU was on Arkansas commit Ky Madden who would be someone Trent would be very interested in.

But, with Mike Anderson's hiring, I doubt we see any recruits bolt. Maybe some of the current Arkansas players leave, b/c Mike will quickly figure out if some of the bigger Arkansas posts (like Sanchez) can keep up his pace.

How ironic is this.... On the Dylan Talley front, it's been hard to find anything on him, and if and when he is visiting LSU.

But, another school reportedly interested in Talley is Nebraska, where none other than our own Bo Spencer is still trying to get in order his academics to compete. It still doesn't look like he's able to do that.

I also thought it was funny that Nebraska is looking at another kid, a 25 year old "kid" with a prison record. Nice company for Talley, who left his first year because of a scandal. Hopefully he realizes the wisdom of NOT considering Nebraska.

Geaux with Trent, Dylan. He will steer you right!

MDAA on as soon as the Knicks are done. I'll let you know what I think of JOB, although the MDAA is a bad game to judge talent anyway.

Posted some stuff on MDAA on the Den. Would be interested in your thoughts.

As an aside, North Carolina has gotten it's commitment from a 2011 PG

So, that's relevant b/c I know Sam Grooms was looking heavily at them, hoping for an offer. Not sure if Trent is still talking to Grooms, but I'm sure he's still keeping the feelers there.

No, you're absolutely right. As we sit down to watch Butler play in its second NC tomorrow night, how many of their recruits are McD AAs? NONE.

John Isaac is a kid that LSU should be signing, an All-Stater, who can really develop. Frankly, he's comparable to a Markel Brown in talent, and many folks will complain about kids like that leaving the state. Trent convinced Isaac to stay in state and go to LSU, and we likely should be commending them both.

I think if you continue to see inconsistencies from folks like Dotson or Derenbecker, Isaac could get some decent PT. He will certainly make folks work harder in practice.

I'm actually more excited about Isaac. There is just more upside there. Expectations are high for an MDAA, and there is a lot of room for disappointment. With Isaac if he comes in and averages 8 points and 3 assits it is a home run. I have a feeling he will go down as a steal.

Agree, agree and agree... I think everyone wants us to pick up anther guard (me included) to run the point but I think we all or overlooking JI's upside ESPN's take was that his best attribute was his passing

Not sure if JI is taking notice that most of Tiger Nation want us to pick up another guard but if he does you gotta think that's more motivation! Come on JI can't wait til you get out on the court for us!
